Tarek El Moussa insisted his 16-year-old daughter \u201cearned\u201d the luxury car he gifted her.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFlip or Flop\u201d alum defended coming together with ex-wife Christina Haack, as well as current wife Heather El Moussa, to get his and Haack\u2019s daughter Taylor a $150,000 BMW X5<\/a>.<\/p>\n

El Moussa shared Taylor\u2019s accomplishments during his appearance on the \u201cMoney Rehab\u201d podcast <\/a>Wednesday, which including her getting a 4.2 GPA and being MVP of her freshman soccer team.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s an absolutely fantastic kid and didn\u2019t just get it. She actually earned it and, if you ask me, she deserved it because she worked really, really hard and didn\u2019t even ask for that car,\u201d Tarek said.<\/p>\n

The television personality noted Taylor would have \u201cbeen happy with a used Honda,\u201d but the BMW was actually more for his peace of mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat thing is built like a tank,\u201d he marveled, adding, \u201cShe\u2019s in a safe car, and she loves it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tarek insisted that his daughter was not \u201ca spoiled brat,\u201d and that he was already being responsible about her financial future by investing her in stocks and real estate her whole life.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was flying in private jets when she was like, 1 years old, OK, so this kid, she\u2019s grown up around things,\u201d he pointed out. \u201cSo when I grew up, I didn\u2019t have anything, right? So I\u2019m obsessed with things because I never had things.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s always had things,\u201d he continued. \u201cSo, she looks at things different than I look at things.\u201d<\/p>\n

It turns out this isn\u2019t the first time Tarek\u2019s been generous about gifting a car. Host Christina Lapin was incredulous when he recalled buying Heather a white Ferrari on their second date, after she told him it was her dream car.<\/p>\n

\u201cThird date she moved in,\u201d he bragged.<\/p>\n

Back in August, Tarek posted video on Instagram<\/a> surprising Taylor with the pricey silver SUV alongside Heather and Haack.<\/p>\n

Taylor reacted in shock, wiping away tears as she exclaimed, \u201cOh my God!\u201d<\/p>\n

Tarek captioned the video, \u201cWhat\u2019s more of a surprise\u2026 the car for Taylor or the fact that the three of us actually pulled this off? \ud83d\ude02 The car is so well deserved, we love you so much Tay.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tarek, 45, and Haack, 43, also share son Brayden, 11. The two were married for seven years before they split in 2016. <\/a><\/p>\n

Even after their split, they continued to co-host their HGTV show, \u201cFlip or \u201cFlop,\u201d until the show ended in 2022 after 10 seasons.<\/p>\n

Tarek married Heather<\/a>, 39. in October 2021. He and the \u201cSelling Sunset\u201d star welcomed son Tristan,<\/a> 3, in 2023.<\/p>\n

In July, Heather clapped back at a \u201crude\u201d social media follower <\/a>who asked her how it felt to never have to worry about money.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t come from money,\u201d she said of her and her husband. \u201cTarek and I, both separately and together, have worked very hard to get where we are today.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
