WASHINGTON \u2014 President Trump viciously mocked a \u201cway out of shape\u201d male reporter on Thursday when the journalist asked him about the reason he canceled a Saturday campaign trip to Kansas \u2014 telling the man, \u201cyou look like hell.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump, 80, bristled at the suggestion that he was worn out from a rigorous travel schedule to boost Republicans in close congressional races.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. President, you\u2019ve been doing a lot of travel. We\u2019ve been doing a lot of travel with you. How are you doing? How is your health?\u201d the reporter asked after Air Force One returned from a stop in South Carolina.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think very good. I think you see that,\u201d Trump, replied before pivoting to say \u201cwe had a great rally\u201d and that \u201cwe\u2019re going to have a strong Tuesday night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump unloaded on his questioner when the journalist pressed him.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo you not going to Kansas has nothing to do with you being sick of traveling?\u201d the reporter inquired, prompting Trump to turn the focus on the reporter\u2019s own health.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are a sick guy. Reuters is terrible, by the way,\u201d the president fumed.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook at this guy. He\u2019s way out of shape, look at how badly \u2014 he comes to me, \u2018Sir, you\u2019re not going to go to Kansas.\u2019 I\u2019m not going to Kansas because [Sen. Roger Marshall] is doing very well. I\u2019m going to do a tele-rally. Tomorrow I\u2019m doing Florida,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said, \u2018What\u2019s the reason?\u2019 After doing what, 28? He says, \u2018What\u2019s the reason for this, sir, that you\u2019re not going to Kansas?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what the reason is? I don\u2019t feel I have to go to Kansas. I\u2019m going to Florida tomorrow, and I\u2019ll do [more] if something else comes up. But he said, \u2018You\u2019re not going to Kansas, sir. Are you feeling well?\u2019 <\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve been following me for two weeks. I feel perfect. You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell.\u201d<\/p>\n

The White House\u2019s rapid response team celebrated the takedown and tagged the reporter, Jacob Bogage, on X.<\/p>\n

Trump has previously mocked reporters, but generally it\u2019s women on the receiving end of the barbs about their appearance, calling one \u201cpiggy,\u201d at least two others ugly \u201cinside and out\u201d since returning to office last year.<\/p>\n

Lately, he has taken to praising the physique of men in the final stretch of the campaign, including repeatedly speaking about the muscular posterior of Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio), while promoting the previously obscure appointed senator\u2019s football-playing past to voters.<\/p>\n

A White House official told The Post in response to a question about the canceled Kansas trip this weekend that Trump \u201cwill continue connecting directly with Americans nationwide through more than 20 tele-rallies before Election Day.\u201d<\/p>\n
